Agrochemical Pelleting Facility
Flow Splitting Of Sensitive Difficult To Feed Wet Mass
In the production of agrochemical pellets or WDG’s (Water Dispersible Granules), the Circle Feeder has been a key piece of equipment that allows the wetted mass discharging from a kneader to be metered at a consistent rate into the granulator or granulators where other feeders fail.
Consistent feeding of the granulator is essential to making good consistent product with high yield. The wet mass from the kneader does not flow well and is very prone to bridging. Further, the wet mass has a very specific density that was achieved during the mixing process and the material must not be densified anymore or risks becoming over-mixed, resulting in low quality product being made.
For this reason the Circle Feeder is unique in its ability to gently feed the difficult to handle wet granulation without any bridging at a consistent rate and most importantly maintains the high product quality.
Feature
- The dual discharge allows for the ability to operate at twice to capacity as well as to operate at half capacity if one side needs to be down for maintenance, by closing a discharge port
- Flow splitting helps with limiting height requirements and floor space
- Able to work with a variety of products on one system because of turn down ratio
- Screw feeder cannot achieve these things
